Description

Absolute Archaeology was commissioned by Wireless Infrastructure Group to carry out an archaeological investigation on the location of a new Vodafone tower. This was after the hand excavation of the base/plinth which revealed a 300mm wide linear feature. The feature runs on a north south alignment, and was a late 18th/early 19th century land drain. A single sherd of green glazed pancheon was found within the drain, and is how the feature was dated. No other archaeological finds or features were present within the development area.
