Description

An evaluation of a block of land proposed for residential development on the west side of Motcombe was undertaken by AC archaeology in February 2004, following a desk-based assessment of the site. Five trial trenches 12.5m in length were excavated by machine. No archaeological features were encountered but a remnant subsoil in one trench produced some 12-13th century pottery.
