Description

Rapid photographic survey of exposed walls in advance of and observations and recording during stabilisation and consolidation works. The walls date from the early post-medieval to modern period, and represent the remains of former property boundaries, garden terrace walls and the remains of houses to the rear of the now demolished properties that originally fronted onto the High Street in the medieval core of Weymouth. No archaeologically significant features or deposits were exposed during groundworks. A number of historic walls were reduced in height and buried beneath the regraded slopes.
