Area G20 forms a detailed gradiometer survey area, part of the larger geophysical survey undertaken along the route of a new water supply main between the Wessex Water works at Corfe Mullen, Dorset to Camp Hill Storage Tank near Salisbury, Wiltshire.
No anomalies of probable archaeological origin have been identified in area G19.
Possible archaeology is represented by four weak positive linear anomalies probably associated with former cut features such as ditches of possible archaeological origin (Anomalies 324-327). Anomalies 325 and 326 are in close proximity to the documented route of a Roman Road and do appear to follow a similar orientation. There are also a number of discrete positive anomalies scattered across the area
which are probably associated with former cut features such as pits (Anomaly 328).A number of magnetic spikes were recorded across the area and are probably associated with ferrous debris (Anomaly 329).
