EDO5814 - Corfe Mullen to Salisbury Water Transfer Scheme Geophysical Survey Area Sturminster Marshall

Sturminster Marshall survey area is a detailed gradiometer survey area, which forms part of the larger geophysical survey undertaken along the route of a new water supply main between the Wessex Water works at Corfe Mullen, Dorset to Camp Hill Storage Tank near Salisbury, Wiltshire. No anomalies of probable archaeological origin have been identified in the Sturminster Marshall survey area. Possible archaeology is represented by series of positive anomalies that may be associated with former cut features of possible archaeological origin (Anomalies 333-345). There are also several magnetic spikes recorded across the area thatare probably associated with ferrous debris (Anomaly 346).
