EDO5815 - Corfe Mullen to Salisbury Water Transfer Scheme, Snowsdown; geophysical survey 2012

Snowdown survey area is a detailed gradiometer survey area, which formed part of the larger geophysical survey undertaken along the route of a new water supply main between the Wessex Water works at Corfe Mullen, Dorset to Camp Hill Storage Tank near Salisbury, Wiltshire. No anomalies of probable archaeological origin have been identified in the Snowsdown survey area. Possible archaeology is represented by single positive linear response in the north of the area that may be associated with a former cut feature of possible archaeological origin (Anomaly 349). There are also several magnetic spikes recorded across the area that are indicative of ferrous materials (Anomaly 350). The record for this event has been created with support from Wessex Water.
