EDO601 - The Old Walled Garden, Warmwell; evaluation 1996

An archaeological evaluation undertaken by Wessex Archaeology for Savills Chartered Surveyors in connection with the proposed construction of a manege within the walled garden. Two trenches representing around 3.5% of the development area were excavated by machine and cleaned by hand. A short length of ditch, though to be of 12-13th century date, a shallow linear feature of 17th or 18th-century date, and a number of undated features were recorded.
