Archaeological observations and recording during the excavation of foundation trenches during construction of a new dwelling. No features or deposits of archaeological significance were found. After removal of topsoil, the foundation trenches were excavated to a further depth of up to 1m. The exposed stratigraphy was a dark yellowish-brown clayey loam topsoil up to 0.2m thick over a compact yellowish-brown clay subsoil up to 0.5m thick with abundant limestone pieces and peagrit, on top of natural solid limestone bedrock.
