Description

A machine-excavated trench 18 metres long and 1 metre wide and aligned approximately NW-SE was excavated within the footprint of the proposed new dwelling. This revealed yellowish-brown silty clay topsoil approximately 0.35m thick on top of orangey-brown clay natural, and the remains of a field drain. No archaeological features or deposits were observed, and no finds recovered.
