EDO6225 - Verwood Manor Farm, Verwood; geophysical survey 2014

Detailed magnetometer (fluxgate gradiometer) survey identified anomalies consistent with known archaeological features such as ring ditches and field systems, and a number of other features of a similar nature which had not previously been identified. The general level of magnetic response was low, even over known features, and this hampered the confident identification of anomalies of potential archaeological interest. Even so, it was felt that similarity to anomalies coinciding with known features supported the identification of these additional anomalies as indicators of the presence or absence of buried archaeology.
