Description

Re-excavation of a 1960s pipe trench across the lawn identified a rammed chalk feature of uncertain date, possibly the levelled foundations of a ?post medieval building. The feature had previously shown up on a geophysical survey. Work carried out as part of the Goldfields Farm Project.
