The survey was carried out on behalf of Terrence O'Rourke working for Solstice Renewables in support of a planning application for a solar park. The site comprised agricultural fields currently used for pasture covering an area of 7.5ha. The survey was carried out using a Bartington Grad 601-2 dual fluxgate gradiometer system over an area of 5.9ha. There were anomalies of potential archaeological interest throughout the site, having a potential for Bronze Age archaeology. They appeared to be ditch-like and pit-like features which were undated. Frequent ploughing trends were visible across the site on differing alignments and likely to be medieval, post-medieval and modern.
