Description

Observations and recording by Terrain Archaeology in the outer bailey of Corfe Castle during erosion repair works to footpath steps outside the south-east corner of the castle. The works did not go below topsoil deposits and no significant archaeology was exposed. A small quantity of medieval pottery was recovered from the topsoil in the outer bailey.
