Description
Monitoring of groundworks associated with gas main replacement to a cottage on the eastern side of the Saxon defensive circuit surrounding Wareham, Sheduled Monument. Three trenches were dug to install a new connection from the gas main. All of the works exposed ground heavily disturbed by modern services to an average depth of between 0.3-1.2m below current ground level.
