EDO7822 - 2 Abbots Quay, Wareham Town; observations and recording 1998

Observations and recording by Lilian Ladle during excavtion of foundation trenches for an extension. The trenches were approximately 1m deep by 0.75m wide, and 14m in length overall. No archaeological features were visible. Two finds retrieved from the builder's skip were a sherd of black/grey thin-walled pottery in a sandy fabric, probably 12-13th century in date, and a small piece of wall plaster painted pale pink which could not be dated.
