Description

Monitoring of boathouse development by Poole Museum Service in 1995 did not reveal any archaeological features or finds. A sequence of aeolian sand, thin peat deposits and other sand layers was recorded. (1) These are in an area on the periphery of clay workings and other extractive industries and may be of relatively recent origin.
