Description
The second phase of a two-phase evaluation of a site proposed for a borrow pit as part of the A35 Bypass works. Situated immediately north of the first phase of evaluation and subsequent gravel extraction. This phase comprised the machine excavation of six trial trenches representing approximately 2% of the site. Two small ditches or gullies, both undated, were recorded and interpreted as the truncated remains of a prehistoric or Romano-British field system. NMR Microfilm Index PRN: 6890.
