Description

Research excavation following geophysical survey of two suggested Roman military enclosures associated with the road from Corfe Mullen to Wareham concluded that they were of modern date, and probably woodland enclosures. Work formed part of a wider project investigating the Poole Harbour Littoral. The NRHE record cites a Bournemouth University School of Conservation Sciences research report, but this has not been submitted to the HER.
