Full Description

Former Congregational chapel in South Street, built 1856-7 by the architects Poulton and Woodman of Reading. Portland rubble with ashlars dressings. Nave and 2 aisles with west end onto street and separated by buttresses with setbacks crowned by tall pointed finials. South aisle projects very slightly at west end and has a steep polygonal spire. United Reform Chapel since 1972. <1>
