Summary
A World War II type 22 pillbox located at Sea Barn, East Fleet. It was constructed in 1940-41, is hexagonal on plan and built of concrete. A field visit in 1996 found the pillbox to be partly buried but in a good condition. The pillbox is visible on aerial photographs taken at East Fleet in 1984.

A partly buried Second World War Type 22 pillbox (hexaganal) is visible on aerial photographs taken at East Fleet in 1984 <4>. It is also visible on the most recent aerial photograph coverage available to the project <5-6>. This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
