Site of a Bronze Age bowl barrow visible as an earthwork and cropmark on aerial photographs. It is one of a group of three possible barrows located at this vicinity (MDO1147-49).

Full Description

'A' - SY 60669348, 'B' - SY 60729351 and 'C' - SY 60889354. Three bowl barrows. 'A'. - Diameter 20 paces. Height 6ft. <2> 57ft. in diam and 6ft. high. Similar information to auth 2, but lesser dimensions. <3> Three grass covered bowl barrows, with no visible ditches. 'A'. Flinty; diameter 18.0 metres, height on east 2.2. metres, and on west, where a lynchet runs onto the mound,1.2 metres. <4> 'A'. SY 60679347. Bowl barrow, elongated NW-SE, measuring 20.0 by 16.0 metres. with a maximum height of 3.5 metres. All the barrows are under grass and have not been ploughed over. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on MSD. <5> Site of a Bronze Age bowl barrow visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs.
