Full Description
SY 63309482. Romano-British and Medieval pottery was found in the garden at No.3 Dorchester Road, Frampton. Quite a few sherds of the C12th and C13th were uncovered. The recognisable sherds of RB pottery were Samian and New Forest Ware possibly of the C1st or C2nd to C4th. The house site cuts into the substantial scarp of a lynchet, of which there are several more to the west. Whether they belonged to "Celtic" fields or to medieval or later strips was not determined. <1>
