No. 147 South Street (together with Nos. 143-151 South Street) form an example of a mid 19th century terrace of workers' housing of vernacular appearance and with irregular plans (1). It is a two-storeyed red brick house with a stone plinth, slate roof, and segmental heads to doorway and window openings.
