Full Description

The burial ground was established about 1695 and the walls probably date from this time. Stone rubble construction with stone coping ramped upwards to a higher corner in NE. A blocked entrance in the east end of the north wall is said to be 20th century in date (1). A stone inscribed 'FRIENDS BURIAL GROUND' (the remainder of the inscription illegible) built into south end of east wall (1). The incurving walls on south street with their gate piers are later.
