Full Description
Church of St John, by architect W H Randoll Blacking was built in 1936 to replace St Andrew's Mission Church. A single storey building, white rendered with ashlar quoins and dressings, a pitched slate roof, coped gables and a plain bell-cote at the west end. Simple three- and two-light windows. There is a flat roofed aisle and porch with a parapet on the south side. The interior is white with pointed barrel vault over nave. The Blacking Memorial Window contains stained glass by Christopher Webb, 1958. <1>
