Summary
A late 18th or early 19th century three-storey building, formerly a warehouse or workshop, part of the Court Mills Complex, now offices. There are at least four phases of development of this building, two of which are dated 1838 and 1844. It is on the site of earlier buildings, but it is unclear whether any parts of these have been incorporated into the existing buildings.

Full Description
The Court, West Street. 1844 (datestone with `I.H.P.' on West double gable). The Court is the office of Bridport Gurdry Ltd., an amalgamation of nearly all of the local twine and net companies (est.1665). It is the largest and oldest established employer in Bridport. <5>
A three storeyed former warehouse or workshop, part of the Court Mills Complex, now offices. A stone rubble building with pitched slate roof and eight ranges of segment-headed windows. At the west end is a contemporary residential extension southwards. There are at least four phases of development of this building, two of which are dated 1838 and 1844 <7>. There is a datestone with "I. H. P. 1844" on the west gable.
The building is on the site of earlier buildings shown on Hutchins' 1774 map <1>, but it is unclear whether any parts of these have been incorporated into the existing buildings <7>.
