Summary
A Bronze Age bowl barrow on Black Down, visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs, and one of a loose scatter of barrows. Ordnance Survey field investigation in 1954 described it as a flinty stubble covered bowl barrow 15 metres in diameter and 1.3 metres high with very faint traces of a surrounding ditch.

Full Description
A bowl barrow, one of a loose scatter of barrows (see SY 59 SE 48 and associated monuments). Listed by RCHME as Kingston Russell 6c and by Grinsell as Kingston Russell 10, Ordnance Survey field investigation in 1954 described it as a flinty stubble covered bowl barrow 15 metres in diameter and 1.3 metres high with very faint traces of a surrounding ditch. <1-3>

This barrow was formerly recorded as part of SY 59 SE 64. Note that there is some difficulty with that record. The barrow recorded here, at SY 58189057 is identified with that record's barrow 'A'. See SY 59 SE 64 for further details and sources. <7>
