Summary
Built probably about 1785 for Eleanor Coade, owner of Coade's Patent Artificial Stone Manufactory at Lambeth. Two storey stuccoed front, five sash windows per floor. The ground floor windows are round-headed and have architraves with vermiculated rustications, ornamental impost blocks and keystones with head of Neptune over door and heads of Amphitrite over windows. The central window space is taken up by a six panel door with ornamental band, and radiating fanlight. Guilloche band over ground floor. Plain sash windows first floor. Swagged frieze, cornice parapet surmounted by six Adam-style urns. Vermiculated angle rustications. The whole of the enrichment is in Coade stone; graded II* for this reason and for the fact that it was built for Eleanor Coade.
