Summary

House with attached outbuildings. C16 core to south end of house. C17 rebuilding to north of this, with date 1616 on porch. C17 service-wing to south. C20 extension of house to north. Rubble-stone walls. Stone slate roof, with stone gable-copings, and C20 gable to front at right hand.

Full Description

(ST 62062048) Jerrards (NR). (!) The house is early 17th century, but the south part is late 15th or early 16th century. A gabled porch has the date 1616 (2). Grade II (3). The outbuildings consist of a late 17th or early 18th century pigeon house, a 16th century barn, two other buildings of probable 17th-18th century date, and a gateway which contains re-set 17th century jambs (2). All Grade II (3). (2-3) As described. See ground photo. (4) "Jerards" (Name revised (a)). A good architectural example of the period. The house has a modern N wing, dated 1921, built in the early style. All the buildings are exceptionally well maintained. (5)
