Summary
An inn built in the late 18th century, and thought possibly to have originated as a pair of cottages. The building has walls of brick in Flemish bond with burnt headers, and a thatched roof with brick chimney stacks. There are later extensions, and the interior has been much altered.
The record for this monument has been enhanced with support from Wessex Water.

ST 9439088. An 18th century inn, two storeyed, with walls of brick and flint and a thatched roof. Inside, the plan has been
much changed and it is possible that the range originally comprised two dwellings. <2>
