Summary
A lime kiln recorded as ‘old limekiln’ on the second edition (1900-1902) Ordnance Survey map. Later 1:10,000 scale Ordnance Survey map show a quarry at this location, but no structure is depicted. The date of this kiln is not known but it is most likely to be late nineteenth century. The site was visited in 1992-93 by Peter Stanier, who could find no trace of the kiln structure.
