Nos. 22, 24, 26 & 28 Market Street comprise four estate cottages, built 'en bloc'. Mid C19. Coursed rubble-stone walls and dressed stone quoins. Hipped slate roof with tiled hips and ridge. Brick stacks at left hand ridge, centre, and right hand ridge. 1½ storeys. 4 windows, 2-light cast-iron casements with lozenge pattern of glazing-bars. Stone cills and lintels. Two porches to front elevation, stone walls with gabled slate roofs. Three-sided heads to porch entrances. Plank doors, painted. Porches to Nos 22 and 28 are on the end walls, same design.
