Full Description
The eastern of two formerly attached cottages, now a single cottage at 16 West Street. C18, with C20 refenestration at right hand end. Rubble-stone walls with stone quoins. Late medieval stone fragments built in over the doorways, left, fragment of cusped window tracery; right, fragment of window-head with super-mullion, trefoil-cusping and castellated boss, withfleuron cornice. Thatch roof, half-hipped at left hand, and gabled at right hand. Stone and brick stack at ridge, centre; brick stack at right hand gable. 2 storeys. 3 windows, 3-light wooden casements with glazing-bars, wooden lintels. Doorways at left hand, plank with wooden frame and chamfered wooden lintels, C19. Front door, at right centre, plank with wooden lintel over.
