Nos. 30 and 31 West Street are two attached Cottages, formerly 3. Mid C18, with C20 restoration. Rubble-stone walls and rubble plinths, with a straight joint between the two cottages. Thatch roof, with gable-end and half-hip and lower eaves to No 30. C19 brick stacks at left hand gable and party wall. 2 storeys. 5 windows, 2-light wooden case- ments with glazing bars, wooden cills and lintels to No 30. No 31 has 3-light wooden casements, with fixed lead lights to the upper windows. Plank doors, approximately at centre of each. No 3, C20; No 31, C20 with one glass light, and segmental brick arch over.
