Summary

A mound interpreted as a probable Bronze Age bowl barrow. The barrow has a mound, previously recorded as being 11 metres in diameter, and approximately 0.1 metres high. Surrounding the mound is a quarry ditch from which material was excavated during its construction. This has become infilled over the years but survives as a buried feature approximately 2 metres wide. The barrow lies within a prehistoric field system.

Full Description

A bowl barrow on arable land with no visible ditch, approximate diameter 11.0m, height 0.2m. <2> A bowl barrow about 11 paces in diameter and 2ft high. <3> ST 63210380. The bowl barrow is as described and now appears as a patch of slightly raised earth and flints. Surveyed at 1:2500. <4>
