Summary
A church standing in Compton Park. The building has walls of local rubble, part faced with ahlar, and the roof is covered with stone slates. The date of the church is uncertain, though the earliest clearly-identifiable features are fifteenth-century windows, and the west tower was added in the early fifteenth century. The building was restored and largely rebuilt in the 1820s, and there have been several other additions and restorations.

Full Description
(ST 59451690). St Michael's Church [NAT]. (1)
Parish Church of St Michael. The nave is of uncertain date, the earliest details being the C15th windows. The West tower is of the early C15th. Restored and largely rebuilt by Robert Gooden in 1821-2, the chancel being restored again in 1877. (2-3)
