Summary

'A farmhouse thought to have been built in the early seventeenth century, possibly earlier. The building has walls of stone rubble and a slate roof with brick chimney stacks. In plan it originated as a cross-passage house. A ground floor room has an open fireplace with brick arch and bread oven. The hall, in the centre of the house, has intersecting moulded ceiling beams, and a large open fireplace with a timber lintel and moulded timber jambs.'
