Full Description

Parish Church of St Mary Magdalene, Castleton. Having become ruinous, the church was rebuilt and co? in 1715. According to Alexander Pope, it was designed by William, 5th Lord Digby. A rectangular atone building with two aisles, the walls are of local rubble, ashlar-faced with dressings of the same material. The roofs are covered with stone slates. <1>
