Full Description
A Bronze Age bowl barrow on Long Barrow Hill. The site is one of a group of monuments in the vicinity of the Long Bredy bank barrow (MDO1509) and is clearly visible on aerial photographs. <1-3>
A bowl barrow, one of a group of monumetns in the vicinity of the Long Bredy bank barrow (SY 59 SE 27). Listed by RCHME as Long Bredy 8 (g) and by Grinsell as Long Bredy 9, it was described by RCHME as a mound 32 feet indiameter and 2.5 feet high. Some disturbance in the middle was noted, although there appears to be no record of an excavation. <4> <5>
