Summary

A Bronze Age bowl barrow, visible on aerial photographs. In 1952 the barrow was described as being around 40 feet in diameter with a mound about 3½ feet high, but reduced by ploughing.

Full Description

Site of a probable Bronze Age bowl barrow, visible on aerial photographs. <1> One of four barrows in the area, probable bowl barrow, 40ft. in diam and 3.5ft. high. It has been ploughed. <2> A bowl barrow, listed by Grinsell as Long Bredy 3 and by RCHME as Long Bredy 9(d). Ordnance Survey field investigation in 1955 recorded it as a grass-covered, ditchless mound 13 metres in diameter and up to 1.2 metres high. It had been dug into on the south side. <2-4>
