Summary

An asymmetrical picturesque cottage, ground floor and semi-attics in grey roughcast with stucco dressings. Built about 1873, by J B Green, for Lord Portman as lodge to Wentworth Lodge. Big modern extensions at rear.

Full Description

Circa 1873, J B Green for Lord Portman as lodge to Wentworth Lodge (see College Road). Asymmetrical picturesque cottage, ground floor and semi-attics grey roughcast with stucco dressings, probably on concrete. 2 gables of different sizes to north, south and west, 1 gable to east, all with pierced bargeboards. Slate roof, stucco chimney on ridge. Timber porch and ground floor bay window to west. All windows have casement-headed moulded frames. Big modern extensions at rear.
