A large villa built around 1850-60 Italianate style. The building is asymmetrical, comprising 3 storeys and basement, and has walls covered in stucco. Converted to hotel.

Full Description
2 almost identical Italianate stucco villas, circa 1850-60, asymmetrical, 3 storeys and basement. Open-pediment gables to north (with lunette over arched window over entrance door) and east (with arched window over tripartite window over projecting square bay with pseudo-leaded roof and window of 5 arched lights). North-west corner has 2-storey canted bay with shouldered lintels to segment-headed windows. Rectangular bay with pairs of arched windows on each floor set diagonally across south-west corner. Chimneys grouped in fours with slits between, supporting cornice, tall base of stack with arched window. Washington has flat-roofed modern extension in north-east angle, Durley Court has good original conservatory with arched lights in that position. Durley Court has lost chimneys, except 2 of buff brick.
