Summary
Bronze Age bowl barrow, one of a small group of barrows on Beaminster Down. The round mound is 24m across and visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and aerial photographs. It was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

(A' - ST 49710387) Tumulus (NR) (1)
'A'. Barrow 66 feet by 96 feet across and 10 feet high. This and the barrow to the south were opened in 1874 by S.S. Cox (See ST 40 SE 15).
'A'. A bramble covered ditchless bowl barrow cut by a pronounced excavation trench. It is 24.0m. across from NW to SE, and 27.0m. across NE to SW, and is 2.6m. high on the east.
