Summary
A water tower built for the West Hampshire Water Works Company. The tower is shown on the 3rd edition 25-inch scale Ordnance Survey map (1909). This map shows the tower set in fields; later in the century a pleasure gardens was built around it.

Full Description
The OS 3rd edn 25in map (1909) (1) shows a water tower (West Hampshire Water Works Co) on a site in the corner of a field S of Tuckton Road, Southbourne. In the following period a recreation complex (MDO32930) was built around the tower.
