Listed Building record MDO15734 - The King's Arms Hotel (Western Section), 18 Castle Street, Christchurch

In two parts. Western section is 18th century. Painted brick with steeply pitched, slate roof and moulded eaves cornice. 2 storeys and dormer. 1 window, sashes with boxed frames, 1st floor with glazing bars, ground floor, 3 light sash with late 19th century glazing. Eastern section Circa 1800. White brick facade with stucco plinth. Hipped bellcast slate roof and moulded wood eaves cornice. 3 storeys and (modern) attic. 5 windows, sashes, uppers with glazing bars, centre 1st floor of 3 lights with stone pediment above, and with flanking pilasters. Iron balcony extends along width of lst floor. Wide porch with Tuscan columns. Door flanked by narrow lights with wide fanlight over the whole. (NMR).
