Full Description
From late 16th/early 17th century timber framing to early 19th century brick. In 3 sections, the whole forming an L-shaped building formerly Grove Farmhouse. Eastern section square panel late timber framing with painted brick infill and slate roof. 1 storey and 1 dormer. 3 windows, early 19th century casements. Adjoining centre section now faced with stucco, slate roof with massive centre chimney stack. 2 storeys. 3 windows, old casements with old leaded glazing except centre window. Western section set at right angles, of red brick with hipped slate roof. 2 storeys 1 window in end facing road, sashes with glazing bars, western side facade has arched window with Gothic glazing bars above 1 1/2 storey outshut. Entrance set in angle of L-shape between western and centre sections 6 panelled door with flat canopy supported on 1 column. Picturesque.
