Late 18th/early19th century. Stucco facade with tiled roof. 3 storeys. 2 sash windows with late 19th century glazing 2nd floor. 1st floor has 2 small angular bays with cornices. Ground floor has a modern office front. No 1 forms a group with Nos 2 to 4 (consec) and is also part of groups on Castle Street and High Street at this junction of the three main streets in the centre of Christchurch.
