Summary
A detached cottage thought to have been built in the 17th century, with 18th-century alterations. The main part of the building has brick walls but some parts are timber framed with brick infill, suggesting rebuilding of a timber-framed house. The roof, which may have been raised at the same time, is tiled with a brick chimney stack. In 1975 it was reported that surviving internal features included an open fireplace and chamfered ceiling beams.
