Full Description
Remains of Congregational chapel of 1789, only the facade remaining. Built by George Gollop of Poole and John Swetland for seceders from the chapel in Church Street. South (principal) front circa 1849. After their reconciliation in 1849, it was converted for use as a British School. Stucco front. Pitched slate roof. 2 storeys. 4 giant pilasters without capitals, but with sunk panels taking pediment. 3 ranges of segment-headed windows withglazing bars. Door with segment-headed fanlight, and segment-headed relieving arch on plain imposts. Demolished and repalced by flats before 1988, only the facade remaining. <1>
