Full Description
T1 correct. The bridge is 4.8m wide and overall is 12.0 m long. It is surmounted by a modern iron railing and bears no name plate. <2>
Netherbury Bridge dates from about the 17th century. The west span is the smallest and is a circular arch. The centre span is of Gothic shape, whilst the east span is the largest and is circular. The east span serves the mill tail race whilst the other two spans take the main river flow, but there is an
overflow weir to allow excess river water to go into the mill race arch. The middle of the centre arch was rebuilt in the 1860s, using the same stones. <3>
